Syntax

FIRST Identifier

Description

Moves the cursor to the first row in the ResultSet, then fetches the row. The cursor must have been created with the Get Scroll Insensitive Cursor command. It displays a banner and the values of the row.

Example

ij> get scroll insensitive cursor scrollCursor as
'SELECT * FROM menu FOR UPDATE OF price';
ij> first scrollcursor;
COURSE    |ITEM                |PRICE
-----------------------------------------------
entree    |lamb chop           |14
